A Bit About Me
I am a mama of 2 wild boys. I am a Homebirth Doula and a Placenta Specialist. I don’t work, I love. I love everything I do; from mothering to nurturing to encapsulating your placenta – I do it all with such pride and enjoyment.
I launched Beyond Birth Collective in March 2020, 6 months after my youngest son was born in water at home. Both of my birthing experiences have fuelled my drive to succeed in supporting other women, to the best of their capabilities with full and wholehearted trust.
My aim is to hold, support and educate women; not only about all of the options available to them but to encourage that deep and innate trust to flourish so that that bloom can be passed on to the generations that we have birthed or are yet to birth. I love focusing my attention and energy on critical questioning, challenges and growth – we all have things to learn and I absolutely love that I can pass on my learnings to fellow women who may be needing that push and boost of confidence to dive in.
I offer a range of services and most completely customisable to suit each individual.

Placenta Offerings
Placenta Encapsulation Raw Method - $444
RAW Placenta Encapsulation skips the heating process completely. This method of preparation involves cleaning the placenta and then dehydrating the placenta before it is ground and put into capsules. This type of encapsulation involves less processing and you get a higher yield of capsules.

Placenta Encapsulation Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Method - $480
Placenta Encapsulation in the form of the TCM way, is inspired by Traditional Chinese Medicine. This method of preparation involves cleaning the placenta, gently steaming it and dehydrating before it is ground, adding dried ginger and Schezuan Pepper along with essential oils (if needed) and put into capsules. This method has come from references of placenta preparation in Traditional Chinese Medicine with a focus of increasing its warming properties when consumed.

Placenta Encapsulation Frequently Asked Questions
WHY I LOVE PLACENTOPHAGY
In the womb with your baby, nature has created the perfect organ that supports baby until birth. The placenta makes oxygen diffusion, excretes baby’s waste, supplies nutrition, and more. It is also beneficial for the mother during the postpartum period.
Placenta encapsulation is the process of taking a a placenta, after it has finished its job of nourishing your baby, and safely preparing it in a way that allows it to be put into capsules, so that they can be swallowed like a pill.
Consumption of the placenta, also known as placentophagy, is a practice that dates back to ancient times and is still common in certain cultures today.
Placentophagy, is the act of mammals eating the placenta of their young after childbirth.
The placenta contains high levels of prostaglandin which stimulates the reduction of the uterus - bringing it back to pre pregnancy size. The placenta also contains small amounts of oxytocin which eases birth stress and causes the smooth muscles around the mammary cells to contract and eject milk. Proponents also believe it can help prevent postpartum depression, may help with pain control and replace depleted iron.
